I've been MIA with blogging this month..sorry! June has been crazy busy as we enter the heat of both wedding season and summer...literally, has anyone seen this coming weekends temps, phew! In among the house closing craziness  Evan and I were able to scamper away for a quick overnight at one of our favorite spots in the Adirondack Park earlier this month to  Great Pines. I came across the lodge while working in Blue Mountain Lake last winter and we got our first chance to stay when an elopement brought me to the neighboring town of Inlet this past March. 

Great Pines has been beautifully redone to it's true Adirondack Charm. Wide porches adorned with red Adirondack chairs, a cozy lodge, twig furniture, a beautiful lakefront nestled on Fourth Lake and two inviting restaurants. Oh and did I mention the buffalo fried cheese curds from Lean-To...mmm! We especially loved coming here because GP is pet friendly so our sweet Remi was able to tag along while Bourbon had a sister free evening with the grandparents. We were even greeted by one of the owners, Britta at our courtside room where she brought some night time treats for Remi. So sweet and thoughtful. Thanks for making us feel at home Britta!

Great Pines is a beautiful location and I hope I get the chance to come back and stay soon. Did you know they host weddings too?!  It's the perfect venue for an intimate lakeside elopement or wedding. Enjoy this little slice of paradise friends!
